Dr. Eric Maddon founded Park Slope Veterinary Care in 2001 and has been providing quality care to patients with his team ever since. You can meet the team below to see our doctors, staff, and staff pets!

    Dr. Eric Maddon

    VETERINARIAN AND OWNER (DVM)

    Dr. Maddon is the owner and medical director at Park Slope Veterinary Care. He has worked in the veterinary field since 1981. He founded Park Slope Veterinary Care in 2001 and has been a Brooklyn veterinarian for nearly 30 years. He is a USDA accredited veterinarian and his special interests include surgery, dentistry and internal medicine. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and his Olde English Bulldogge, Shelby. Dr. Maddon loves the quiet life in the Catskills and wrenching on cars with his sons. His latest project has been restoring a 1986 Foxbody Mustang GT.

    Dr. Karthika Parvathy

    VETERINARIAN (BVSC)

    Dr. Parvathy was born and raised in India, and graduated from Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, India, in 2013. Shortly thereafter, she moved to New York and graduated with a master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University, with a certificate in Epidemiology of Chronic Disease. She has been a Brooklyn veterinarian since 2021. Dr. Parvathy joined the team at Park Slope Veterinary Care in 2023. She is a USDA accredited veterinarian and her special interests include surgery and emergency care. She is certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support and is also a certified Pet Nutrition Coach and certified Pet Therapeutic Nutrition Coach. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing. She lives in Manhattan with her husband, two rescued cats (Maya and Guenhwyvar) and her beagle Joey.

    VETERINARIAN (DVM)

    Dr. Gueli graduated from Ross Veterinary School and has been working at Park Slope Veterinary Care for around a year and a half. She loves to spend time with her Island rescue dog, Echo, who you may see at the practice! She is very shy but loves to follow Dr. Gueli around wherever she goes!
